The elements weren’t entirely cooperative, but that didn’t stop more than 200 runners from turning out for the 8th annual Bryan Liew Race at Westwood Junior High School in St. Lazare. The Bryan Liew Foundation raises money for the development of sporting and athletic facilities in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region, and is specifcally targetting the construction of a synthetic outdoor running track for the region. Bryan was a highly respected and much-loved running coach who was taken before his time, but his memory lives on through the Foundation, thanks to the tireless efforts of a volunteer team headed by Patrick Lepage and Claudia Wagner. The groundwork is already being laid for the 2024 race. Details here.
