It's going to be bitterly cold. Starting today with wind chills close to minus 20. Overnight tonight, it could feel as cold as minus 35 with an elevated risk of frostbite. Not much relief is expected during the day with cold wind chills to continue. An Arctic air mass is blasting across the country, but a slight reprieve is expected Monday. We'll have details coming up in the forecast. A Montreal investment broker has been fined $100,000. for stealing more than 200,000 from three of his clients, two of whom had died. The Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization said 34-year-old Omer Naik made unauthorized transfers beginning in May 2020 when he worked with TD Waterhouse in Del Arc des Armaux. In addition to the fine, the regulator banned him from conducting securities-related business and ordered him to pay a few other costs. Quebec is delaying its greenhouse gas reduction target by five years, saying the move is needed to protect jobs and the economy. The government promises it will remain committed to carbon neutrality by 2050, but the environment minister said reaching the 2030 goal risked economic damage. And Quebec's minimum wage is going up May 1st, a 50 cent an hour increase, so from $16.10 to $16.60 per hour. About 260,000 employees are expected to benefit from the 3.1% increase.
