All 10s of thousands of people across Quebec and Ontario still have no power during a heat wave. after severe thunderstorms brought down trees, knocked down power lines and flooded homes. Environment Canada said scores of heat warnings were posted for Quebec in Ontario and it now stretches into New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI, the Montreal Island area under a yellow heat warning. The forecast is coming up. Montreal police looking for a suspect and potential victims. after a man is accused of sex assault on public transit. Police issued a news release saying there were at least four incidents in the spring of 2025 and 2026 at the Peel, Honore-Bour-Grand and Saint-Michel Metro stations, as well as the STM bus line 33. Now, according to police, he's also accused of following a minor victim. His picture can be found on the Montreal Police website. Two people arrested in Montreal's North End in connection to human smuggling. RCMP say they searched a home and arrested an alleged smuggler and migrant. Police said the home was allegedly used as a temporary lodging for migrants who had just crossed illegally or were hiding to wait for illegal passage to the U.S. This is believed to be connected to an incident June 2nd in which an alleged human smuggler rammed an officer with his vehicle during an intervention. Police have identified the Ottawa man believed to have murdered his two sons before taking his own life. The boys, aged 7 and 12, were found dead in the home. Investigators say the 40-year-old dentist was found inside a vehicle in a carpool lot. While the man had threatened to harm his ex-wife and those around her in the past during divorce proceedings, the judge at the time said he didn't believe the threats would cause harm and The man could see his children because he was, quote, a good dad.
