Christine Prechette is Quebec's new premier. She'll become the 33rd premier in the province and the second woman to hold the post. The former Coalition Avenir Quebec Economy Minister won 57.9% of the vote over Bernard Rainville. Police arrested a driver who reportedly tried to leave the scene of a collision over the weekend. Just before 3.30 Saturday, police say a car collided with a tree in Montreal, injuring 2 women. and say the driver tried to flee, was arrested, leaving the scene of the incident. The funeral for longtime Quebec baseball commentator Roger Brouillard was held Saturday morning in St. Therese, just north of Montreal. Hundreds gathered to pay their respects, including several political and media figures. He died of cancer March 20th at the age of 79. A defining voice in Quebec baseball, he built a long career across radio, TV, and print media. Jeremy Hansen and his Artemis 2 crewmates are back on Earth after their 10-day mission around the moon ended with a safe splashdown in the Pacific Friday. The astronaut from Ontario served as mission specialist. He and his crewmates emerged from the capsule, hopped on board an inflatable raft that took them to a Navy vessel. They underwent medical checks. And the University of Calgary set a Guinness World Record this weekend with 682 people dressed like dinosaurs. The event marked the university's 60th anniversary and drew students, staff and community members in full costumes. The old record was set in Florida last year, 468. Light 1067 Sports NHL last night. In the NBA last night, Raptors blasted Brooklyn 136-101, marking an end to the regular season and clinching a playoff spot. Playoffs begin Saturday for the Raptors. They're in Cleveland at 1. Baseball yesterday. The Jays lost to Minnesota 8-2, losing 2 out of 3 this weekend. They start up a road series against Milwaukee tomorrow, 740. And Rory McIlroy successfully defended his Masters title. He carded a final round 1-under to finish the tournament at 12-under and becomes just the 4th golfer to go back-to-back at Augusta National.
