In a short statement issued on its website Friday, the port said Julie Gascon has left her role that day. They did not release a reason for her departure. The authority, which operates the inland port linking Canada to global markets via the St. Lawrence River, said her departure comes after she took on the role in early 2024. While the war is already punishing us with over-inflated gas prices, it's also going to have an effect on your overseas vacations. Experts say soaring fuel prices tied to the American-Israeli war in Iran is forcing airlines to adjust operations and pass those costs to customers. WestJet is planning to introduce a $60 surcharge, they say it's temporary, for certain bookings and has consolidated numerous flights, reducing the number of flights in April and May. Jeremy Hansen will become the first Canadian to circle the moon as part of the Artemis II mission. The crew aboard the Orion spacecraft will meet up with the moon later today and fly around for a look at the dark side. The spacecraft will come about 6,500 kilometers from the moon's surface.
