The search for an 18-year-old who fell through the ice in Montreal last week has been suspended. Police say a man and a friend were walking on the Des Prairie River in the city's West Island Thursday. When they fell through, a person was pulled, while another was swept by the current. Officers might still resume the search for the college student in the coming days. The federal New Democratic Party has a new leader. Filmmaker Abby Lewis was elected at the party's weekend convention in Winnipeg. The death toll continues to climb as the U.S. and Israel's war with Iran now affects the Middle East.
