Environment Canada calling for significant rain in the Montreal area from Wednesday to Thursday, saying cancellations and delays are likely. Services will be slippery. A woman in hospital fighting for her life after the SUV she was a passenger in collided with a city bus in Montreal Saturday. Police say it happened just before 6 o'clock at the intersection of Henri Bourassa and Salk Avenue. Police say the cause is unknown. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage. Surging oil prices from the war in Iran have sent overseas markets tumbling. In trading Monday, Japan's Nikkei plunged more than 7%, while Asian markets also tumbled. Crude prices spiked to their highest level in 14 years, over $100 a barrel. Iran this morning has launched drones attacking a vast Saudi oil field this morning, while Israel's military is striking central Iran as well as Beirut. Over a half a million people have been displaced over 300 killed. Now, over the weekend, Canadians arriving home from the Middle East expressed frustration with evacuations. Hundreds more are expected to fly out after the federal government block booked hundreds of seats for outgoing flights. Prime Minister Carney's government, meanwhile, has proposed to debate the turmoil in the Middle East during a session of the House of Commons tonight. The Liberal House leader said the government made the proposal to talk about hostilities in the impact of Canadians. Last 3 by-elections will soon be happening in Canada April 13th.
