It may take you a little longer to get to your flight. The public arrivals drop-off section at Montreal's Trudeau Airport is partially closed in the morning hours through to Friday. The curbside section has been inaccessible between 6 A.m. and 11.30, with drivers being redirected to the departures or express drop-off areas. The airport is dismantling its multi-level parking lot to build a new parking facility. According to a spokesperson, there is less traffic in the morning, but warns to plan ahead in case there are possible delays. Montreal transit officials are extending A system-wide ban on loitering until April 30th, 2027, as part of an ongoing effort to bolster safety and security within the metro system. STM said the decision follows a winter trial where non-transit use of stations negatively impacted commuters and staff. Officials noted the stations are increasingly being used as unofficial shelters for those facing addiction and mental health crises.
