The dollar 72.60 cents U.S. I'm Stacey Englehart. Pablo Rodriguez will hold a news conference this morning in Montreal to announce he is resigning as leader of the Quebec Liberal Party. A lawmaker told the Canadian press the former cabinet minister told a virtual meeting of the Liberal caucus that he's decided to step down. The news came a week after Quebec's anti-corruption police announced a criminal investigation into the party, prompting prominent Liberals to call for Rodriguez to step down. Multiple investigations are focused on the leadership race he won in June. Police investigating shots fired at a car last night in the Pierrefont Roxborough borough. Montreal police say a call came in just after 8.30 in the evening, reporting that gunshots were fired at a parked car outside a business. Witnesses told police the shots came from another vehicle and fled the scene. Police are appealing to witnesses for video footage. A Montreal man was arrested yesterday in connection to online threats that resulted in a shelter in place order for schools in the Montreal area Tuesday. 30-year-old Joseph Montour was arrested in La Salle. He was charged with uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm and mischief. Police say he's known to authorities and has been charged with similar offenses in the past. And A Quebec man whose murder conviction is under review. We'll find out tomorrow if he'll regain freedom after 33 years behind bars. Danielle Jalivet was convicted in 1994 of four murders in Broussard. Federal government announced in October there were reasonable grounds to believe there had been a miscarriage of justice.
