According to reports, analysts in Quebec say some gas stations appear to be cutting their profit margins to stay competitive. According to Quebec's Energy Board, the average price for a liter of gas in Montreal yesterday was about $1.75. while some other regions were noticeably lower to about $1.62. It also prohibits banks from charging more than one NSF fee and two business days for the same account. And if there's a shortfall of under $10, they are not allowed to charge the fee. The new cap is expected to save Canadians more than $600 million a year.
