Women's shelters across Quebec are rallying outside the National Assembly today, pushing the government for stronger action on conjugal violence. Reports have tripled in the past decade, and another woman was killed just last week. The group representing 50 shelters says funding has flatlined and demand is exploding, and they're calling for $57 million over three years to keep services running safely. A silent demonstration at 11.30 will highlight the women and children affected. President Trump is now threatening to block the opening of the new Gordie Howe International Bridge. He posted that Canada isn't treating the U.S. with fairness and respect, pointing to booze rules in Ontario, dairy tariffs and complaints about Prime Minister Mark Carney. The bridge is Canadian financed and nearly ready. Michigan's governor says it's opening one way or another. The span is going to link Detroit and Windsor and handle thousands of daily commuters. We're learning more about the sudden death of Canadian comedy legend Catherine O'Hara. The LA medical examiner says she died from a pulmonary embolism with underlying cancer. O'Hara passed away January 30 at age 71. She leaves behind a legacy of iconic roles from SCTV in Beetlejuice to Home Alone and her Emmy-winning turn on Schitt's Creek.
