It's Tuesday, March 10th. We start out with sun, we end up with showers and a high of 10 this afternoon. Right now it's for the dollar 73.68 cents U.S. I'm Stacey Anglehart. Environment Canada issued an orange warning for freezing rain. The event could last up to 24 hours, bringing between 20 and 30 millimeters of freezing rain, paralyzing some services through to Thursday. There will likely be transportation delays and cancellations. Prolonged utility outages are also likely with ice snapping tree branches. You're being asked to be careful walking or driving, and they say non-essential travel should be avoided. Public transit users in Laval can expect a longer commute for the next few weeks. STL doesn't have enough buses. According to the city's transit agency, it's canceling more than 60 trips a day starting today because of supply chain issues and mechanical issues on its bus fleet caused by the bad winter climate. As a result, they just don't have enough buses to offer full service for the next month or two. During the disruption, the agency is urging customers to check the bus routes by visiting their website. While the price of gas continues to rise, looks like the price of crude oil actually dropped overnight significantly. Yesterday was trading over $100 a barrel. This morning it was down to about 87 bucks. However, the price of gas is not expected to drop.
