I'm Stacey Englehart. your hydro bill is rising. According to reports, the electricity rate hike was granted by the Quebec Energy Board. Idro Quebec asked for annual increases for businesses of 4.8%. The board granted 3.6 residential customers. You'll pay 3% a year for the next two, followed by a 2.6% increase for 2028. Three years after a deadly fire in Old Montreal, the case is still unsolved. The fire killed 7 people. Police said they previously found traces of a fire accelerant, but no arrests have been made. Court documents identify a potential suspect who is currently serving a life sentence for a murder in 1993. not like we needed the reminder, but household debt is only getting worse. StatsCan said the amount Canadians owed relative to their income climbed for the 5th consecutive year. Agency said the ratio of household credit market debt was 177.2% in the fourth quarter. So in other words, $1.77 in household debt for every dollar you earn. So basically leaving you with 23 cents for every dollar you made. Household credit market debt topped 3.2 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2025. And when you've taken something that's not yours and now you have to give it back, more than 60 indigenous items from the Vatican are now back in Canada. But the journey home is just getting started as experts work to trace their origins and return them to the communities that created them.
