Right now it's -1, the dollar 72.61 cents U.S. I'm Stacey Englehart. A seven-year-old girl is in critical condition after she stepped off the school bus and was struck by it. According to reports, it happened at about 4 yesterday near a Lavelle intersection. The child is in critical but stable condition. Police said the bus driver did not stop after the impact and was pulled over minutes later by police. Police are still investigating what happened. A scary moment for students at schools on Montreal's South Shore. Police say several of them in Chateau Gay were asked to shelter in place due to a threatening social media post. While it's since been lifted, a social media post last night said the suspect was arrested and the individual is due in court on unspecified charges. Children's hospitals in Montreal reminding parents to stay away from the emergency rooms if you can. Montreal Children's Hospital and Saint-Justine Hospital said in a news release, a rise in viruses and respiratory infections has caused an increase in traffic. Both are over 100% capacity. According to the children's medical director, services should be reserved for people whose condition requires immediate care. And just a week to go before it's Christmas Eve, Canada Post said it's ready for the holiday rush and expects to deliver letters and parcels on time coming out of labor turmoil over the past two years. The Postal Service said it continues to process and deliver new items safely and quickly for the holidays. Last month, Canada Post and the union representing mail carriers agreed in principle to a set of new contracts suspending rotating strikes. Light 1067 Sports NHL last night.
