Although certainly scary yesterday after hot and humid conditions prompted Environment Canada to issue an orange tornado watch. It covered Montreal, Laval, Terrebonne, and surrounding regions along the St. Lawrence River. Now, a confirmed touchdown has not officially been verified by meteorologists, but a highly suspected tornado apparently hit the Estri region. According to Canadian Press, the owner of a horse farm and campground in Ulverton, said her property was hit by a brief violent storm that resembled a tornado. All watches and warnings have since been lifted. The Bank of Canada said to deliver its fifth interest rate decision of the year this morning. Economists widely expect the central bank to remain on hold, keeping its policy rate at 2.25 percent.
