An orange freezing rain warning upwards of 30 millimeters is possible today. Environment Canada said transportation delays and cancellations are expected. Now, school officials in southern Quebec already announced closures in anticipation of the ice storm. The Centre de Serviccolaire de Montreal covers much of the city, saying schools, daycare services, admin offices closed. The English School Board also announced it is closing schools, daycares, adult vocational centers, and admin buildings out of an abundance of caution. Now, officials also say prolonged utility outages are likely. As of early this morning, Idreau, Quebec reported just under 10,000 homes had no power, non-essential travel is also to be avoided. The Prime Minister said Canada will never participate in the offensive against Iran. He changed his schedule to attend yesterday's question period when he was asked about the war by the Bloc Quebecois leader. In French, Carney said, Canada's stance is clear. Canada supports the necessity to prevent Iran's nuclear program and the export of terrorism. Another government defection could soon give the Prime Minister his majority, Nunavut MP Lori Idlow, crossed the floor to join the Liberals, giving Carney's government just two seats shy of a majority.
